The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. Organized in 1908, the Church is now home to more than 2 million members worshiping in over 26,000 local congregations in 156 world areas.

The NZ District currently has 18 churches from Whangarei right down to Christchurch.

Praise the Lord for the 3 NZ NYI delegates (John, Moana and Marie) that have recently returned from the THIRDWAVE conference in Bangkok Thailand.

Hamilton and Whangarei are praising God for the great response they had to the childrens holiday programmes they held over the christmas holiday break.
                                             
NYI District Youth Camp was held over Waitangi weekend at Ngati Otara Marae with over 80 people attending and helping out.  The camp was a great success and the next one will be held in May at Camp Morely.

Next month in March 2012 the Nazarene District and the Wesleyan churches will combine for the annual Praise Festival held at the samoan SDA church in Mangere Auckland.

The start date for the district studies will commence on Thursday February 16th held at Otara Church of the Nazarene.  These will be held weekly on Thurday evenings and Saturday mornings.  NTC studies via video conferencing will also commence around the same dates (see schedulle)
